I read this post, Is Use the Best Form of Marketing? sometime ago.
But just last week, I was out and about & talking about my jewelry....
And was not wearing a single piece of my work.

I believe the message should be repeated and
knock me over the head with it, would you please?

Wear your work:
- It's free marketing.
- It's an icebreaker.
- It's market research.
- It's product testing.

I liked the last paragraph, too, which addressed those that
do not make wearables.
Hang this up!

Absolutely! Men, women and even children stop me on the street, in the grocery store, in the waiting room... and ask "OMG! Where did you get that awesome tote bag?". To which I reply: "I made it myself! Here's my card."
Too true!
just remember to carry your business cards too. i will find myself without business cards just when someone asks "do you have a card?"
happens all the time...sigh
I can't say I wear my jewelry "every time" but I do wear it often. It has created a sale or two, mostly people say can you make me one of those in a different color? The answer is, of course, always "Yes, I can" Great reminder Alex!
Great post! It's absolutely true!
Good advice!
I always wear my jewelry when I go out. When I hand someone my card who admires something I'm wearing I tell them they will get a $5 discount on their first purchase--and I write it on the back of the card.
Yup! always wear my stuff! It is a great way to spread the word about your work and it shows you have faith in your own product too! I figure if something is to go wrong with one of my creations I would rather it go wrong with me and not one of my customers! They deserve the best!

Yes I get comments on my wallet, good opportunity to give out a business card.
